To provide detailed imagery of my family home back garden, I flew a mission in May 2019. For this, I used a personal DJI Mavic Pro UAV. Photogrammetry for the orthophoto and DTM generation was conducted using Pix4d. The relative sun exposure was generated with an R-script build around the shadow package.

Of course, a good gardener knows his or her garden best. Nonetheless, a UAV and GIS can aid in attractive design and a suitable placement of plants that are very sensitive to environmental factors and monitoring their development.
